Shipping policy

At 20 Pastures, we’re committed to delivering the highest-quality farm goods with care. Our shipping and delivery practices are designed to balance freshness, affordability, and transparency, while ensuring compliance with Minnesota and federal guidelines.

1. Shipping Locations

  • We currently only ship to locations that qualify for GROUND delivery within 1-2 business days. If your area is not eligible for ground delivery we will contact you before processing your order. 

  • Due to agricultural and perishable product restrictions, we cannot ship internationally or to Hawaii, Alaska, or U.S. Territories.

 

2. Processing Times

  • Standard orders are processed within 2–3 business days of purchase.

  • Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed the following business day.

  • Seasonal or perishable items may have specific shipping windows noted on product pages.

3. Shipping Methods & Timeframes

  • Primary carriers: UPS, USPS, FedEx, depending on product type and location.

  • Standard Shipping: 1-4 business days

  • Expedited Shipping: 1-2 business days (when available)

  • Local Delivery / Pickup: Available within Minnesota and Milaca areas; options appear at checkout.

4. Shipping Rates

  • Calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and destination.

  • Orders over $250 may qualify for free standard shipping within Minnesota.

  • Local delivery fees are flat-rate and displayed at checkout.

5. Perishable & Specialty Items

  • Fresh produce, meats, and perishable items are shipped with insulated packaging and ice packs to preserve freshness.

  • Extra fees for cold-storage packaging may apply.

  • We do not ship perishable goods over weekends to avoid spoilage.

 

2. Delivery & Pickup

Important: Boxes not picked up within 24 hours may be forfeited. Please contact us in advance to reschedule if needed.

3. Shipping & Handling

  • Orders processed within 2–3 business days

  • Standard shipping: 3–7 business days

  • Expedited shipping: 1–3 business days

  • Perishable items shipped with ice packs/insulated packaging

  • No perishable shipments over weekends

Tracking:
You’ll receive an email with a tracking number or notification once your CSA box has shipped or is ready for pickup.

4. Storage & Safety

  • Refrigerate perishables immediately upon delivery/pickup

  • Eggs: Keep in carton, refrigerated

  • Meats: Keep frozen or refrigerated; consume within recommended timelines

  • Fresh produce: Store according to item type (leafy greens, root veggies, etc.)

20 Pastures is not liable for spoilage due to delayed pickup, improper storage, or misuse.

5. Missed Deliveries

  • Contact us in advance if you will miss your scheduled pickup or delivery

  • Boxes cannot be held indefinitely

  • Missed boxes may be rescheduled if communicated ahead of time

  • For shipping: Delays may occur due to weather; we’ll communicate promptly

6. Community Support Contribution

  • 10% of compensated participation is donated back to 20 Pastures

  • Supports: infrastructure, festivals, educational programs, farm operations

  • Helps maintain the sustainability and growth of your community farm
